Alpala - Resource Update

Again, following on from the last post about the potential inaccurate grade used for the high-grade zones by Leapfrog in the Nickel Mountain numbers, I've also updated the Alpala resources to include a 2% and 3% CuEq grade shells.

You can see that it has a big impact, I've added an additional 275,000 tonnes which increases the grade of the >0/9% CuEq zone from 1.24% CuEq to 1.36% CuEq.

I should do this more often......

  1. A complete off topic here. For anybody in the 'business' of gold smuggling look to Japan. A 10% consumption tax means the system can be easily gamed for profit. (just sayin) https://canadastockjournal.blogspot.com/2018/09/japan-braces-for-gold-smuggling-rush-in.html

  2. I don't understand the purpose of attempting a rough estimate. Are you trying to compare your model to SRK's? I think they did a pretty good job on theirs.

    1. It's an update that attempts to include the drilling done after the SRK maiden resource. Focused on economic mineralization assuming it will be a block cave mine not open pit.

    2. To be truly comparable it should use the same CuEq cutoff. SRK used 1.1% CuEq as their cutoff for block cave.

    3. Is it meant to be "truly comparable"? It says right there at the top, "officially bad". LOL

    4. Self deprecating language for sure. Hopefully SRK will have an update soon.

    5. Looks like December for the update. They have some great intercepts but the grade remains a little bit on the skinny side.

    6. That is why I did the update. They've been getting good hits, but they've generally been in the same area and I wasn't seeing where they could be adding significant tonnes to the initial resource.

Basically, we would get the approx. the same tonnages and grades, but just in a 'better' resource category.

  3. Heads up on WGO.v "White Gold Drills 23.44 g/t Gold and 145 g/t Silver Over 24.38m from Surface Ending in Mineralization..."

  4. Hi TAG - are you able to take a crack at the Ivanhoe Makoko discovery? Seems like it could be pretty material for a midcap miner. They said in the PR a resource estimate will be available sometime this quarter so maybe a nice opportunity to get in front of it!

  5. Another heads up. Westhaven Ventures Inc. - WHN.v Co broke a 52 week high, has VG with more holes pending. "Westhaven Drills 1.65 Metres of 175 g/t Gold and 249 g/t Silver at Shovelnose"
